Absolutely brilliant! And, better in 2D than in 3D according to my 5 and 7 year olds.

This is Dreamworks at the top of their game. It's charming, funny, scary and exciting with a few tears thrown in for good measure. My 7 year old said she cried in two places. Interestingly, they were different from the two in which I felt the tear ducts filling up.

Hiccup is a young, weakling of a viking who wants to kill a dragon in order to impress his Father and become a real viking. But he discovers that dragons are not the devils that everyone thinks they are, and he sets out to train one. In doing so, he befriends the 'Night Fury' and the adventure begins.

I can't recommend this movie enough. As soon as the three of us had seen it we all wanted to watch it again as soon as possible.
